Tavern Master is a management game about, you guessed it, managing your own medieval tavern.

It's a rather simple game that is pretty easy to get the hang of- at first you only need furniture and a couple employees to take care of your guests. Over time you will unlock new drinks, new foods, possibility to do take-out, possibility to have hotel rooms, ect ect. It's pretty neat!

I also really like the way the search tree function. Basically, you don't need ressources or times for your research to run- what you need are clients. For exemples, some researches will only complete once you've served 30 clients. Later researches will complete if you get a specific amount of rare clients. I feel like it's a really original touch.

What are rare clients, you ask? Well, for exemple, if straight-up royalty shows up in your tavern, that's a rare client! Rare clients have a small chance to show up everyday (based on how good your food is) but you can forcefully get some in by throwing parties. Of course, parties cost money, and, most importantly, specific food ressources that can be hard to get, but look do you want to unlock a kitchen or not?

I like this game a lot. That being said, I do feel like there's a bit of a lull after ten hours or so- at this point I consistently hit a spot where it would take a while to unlock the next pack of Shit To Do, and I had already throughoutly explored what I had already unlocked. Still well worth it imo tho, I rec this game!
