I’m rewatching the Solomon movie for screenshots reasons, and man. Goetia asking the heroic spirits “Why are you fighting by humanity’s side? You know mankind isn’t worth it!” is so fucking funny to me because. Yes the heroic spirits count some unambiguously good people and people willing to sacrifice everything for the greater good. But a solid chunk of them are this worst side of humanity he loathes so. Villains. Monsters. Criminals. Hedonists. People who are really just Some Dude. Goetia is asking the likes of Francis Drake, of Mozart, of Carmilla about ideology. I have to laugh I HAVE to laugh.
