I know "Oropo is the last of his kind" is kinda a major part of his character and why he's [waves at all his issues], but do hear me out:

Imagine if there was just one more. An eliotrope who followed oropo's plans until the end, building that whole tower ect ect, fueled by rage towards Yugo. A man who was sold teh idea to dethrone god, and by god, is she gonna commit! Someone who is ride or die, who wants vengence towards their uncaring deity more than anything else, who has been planning this for centuries and centuries...

And then they meet Yugo, and realize... he's just a dude. He's not a god-king he's not some master of time he's not some grand pupeeteer. He's just some guy. He's just some guy and he's like, a tenth of your age. He's just some guy and he's barely in his twenties and he's tired and scared and so fucking traumatized and he's just. A guy.

This entire time you've been aiming for gods, and here he is. Could have been your peer. Your brother. Your son. He didn't even know you existed.
